Primary 1 Visit Exploris
In January Primary 1 went to Exploris with our friends from Victoria Primary School in Ballyhalbert. The day started with a guided tour where we saw all kinds of sea life from seahorses to baby sharks.
Then we visited the Seal Sanctuary. It had three injured seals, which were being fed and cared for by the staff at the Aquarium until they are well enough to be released back into the sea.
However the best part of the day was the Touch Tank. It was full of stingrays, sea-urchins, clams (that were a little naughty and spat water at us), crabs and starfish. We also learned that if a starfish looses a leg it can grow another one.
P3 Scientists!
In January, Primary Three, as part of our SCRP programme, visited W5 with our friends from Greyabbey Primary School. We began the day by visiting the science labs for experiments on ‘Forces’. We made toys move using different types of forces, made objects move using magnets and the almost blew up the lab making explosions!!! We then visited the play area and had great fun getting wet in the wet area, building houses in the soft play area and taking our first driving lesson in the mini!! We had a great day!!
