Wrap Around Care at St Mary’s Kircubbin

Saint Mary’s Primary School have been working over the past few months with KUBBY After School to plan very exciting new venture. We have consulted with social services and all the other necessary stakeholders to ensure that we will be able to deliver high quality after school care at a very affordable price!

Initially the care will run from 7.30 am each week day morning until 6.00 pm . Children may be dropped off at KUBBY HQ and will be transported to St Mary’s Breakfast club at 8.00 am. They will then be able to attend one of the many after schools clubs* at St Mary’s ( Modern dance, Hurling / Camogie, Rugby and Soccer) and then move to the in school after school centre for the remainder of the day.
This will cost just £11 per day for Pupils enrolled at St Mary’s or £14 per day for pupils not enrolled at St Mary’s.

If there is a sufficient enrolment a teacher will be employed for 1 hour a day to help your child with their homework, leaving you to simply check it later at home!

If you are working and can purchase Child Care vouchers you will very simply be able to make a huge saving on the prices mentioned above.

People Who Help Us

During the month of February, the children from Primary One and Primary Two have been learning about ‘People Who Help Us’ (to keep well). They have been finding out about the jobs of people who work in the hospital, the doctor’s surgery and the dentist’s surgery, and have been busy exploring these roles in their play.

To really bring our learning to life, we have had a range of exciting visitors; Mrs Clarke – the dietician, Nurse Caldwell – the ‘theatre’ nurse  – Heather Martin- the dental nurse and Mrs Breen – the chiropodist. Due to the generosity of these parents in giving us their time to share knowledge and explain their jobs, our children are now little ‘fountains of knowledge’ and health and medical care enthusiasts.
