There were 11 children in the Fairon family. These are the 8 younger children of the family with their parents Patrick and Mary, the Master and Mistress of the school. He taught the boys, she taught the girls. My father John is the smaller boy in the back row. About 1908

Patrick Fairon, the Master

Group of children outside the school about 1904 with the Master and Mistress.

Patrick Fairon, the Master, with his two eldest sons, Daniel and Patrick and someone called Mick? Does anyone recognise this Ballycran man? I do not have a second name. These two eldest sons went to the USA through Staten Island. Patrick (senior) went in 1907 presumably to 'check out' the place, look for jobs prospects, for his sons. Then Daniel went in 1908 aged 23 and Patrick (Junior) went in 1909 aged 21.
