if I find favour with you,
kindly do not pass your servant by.”
Our Calendar

21 Jul St Lawrence of Brindisi, priest and doctor of the Church.
22 Jul St Mary Magdalen, stood at the Cross of Jesus, with two other women discovered the empty tomb; she was granted an appearance of the Risen Lord early the same day, from which incident she has been described as “the apostle to the apostles”.
23 Jul St Bridget of Sweden, religious. Declared Patron of Europe in 2000.
24 Jul St Charbel Makhluf, priest; St Declan, bishop
Apostolic Fundraiser
The Annual Apostolic Fundraiser will take place next Saturday/Sunday, 24th and 25th July in St Mary Star of the Sea Church after the 6.30pm and 9.00am Masses. Donations of home baked goods; plants and any saleable items will be very gratefully received.
In years gone past, many of the Apostolic members felt privileged and honoured to make the vestments for the missionary priests but due to the high cost of material, threads etc, it is now more viable to buy the materials in the missionary countries and to employ local ladies to do the needlework. Our apostolic members here at home are saddened at the fact that they no longer do this work but on the plus side YOUR money goes much further in the third world so the materials are cheaper to buy, in addition to giving employment to a number of people.
So what used to be the Apostolic Display has now become the Apostolic Fundraiser and as always your generosity means so much to the missionaries and their congregations. Thank you!
